NadaMoo! Is On A Mission To Make Ice Cream Great Again!

By | Uncategorized

WOW, how we’ve been busy! This March we became a N A T I O N W I D E brand, thanks to our partnership with Whole Foods Market. We’ve also added four new flavors to our lineup: Pistachio Nut, Chocolate Cherry Fudge Brownie, Salted Caramel, and That Snickerdoodle Dough (see what we did there?) for a total of 15 delicious flavors! We’ve added some quirky-fun flavor choices with a touch of decadence to our creamy, delicious family. These new flavors are hitting freezers in the Southwest, California, Pacific Northwest, Midwest and Northeast this spring. For more deets, follow our social media handles for new store announcements!

Make Ice Cream Great Again

Next to eating our finished ice cream, innovating new flavors and tasting potential ingredients is a real culinary hi-light at the office. We again partnered with Better Bites Bakery, a local vegan and gluten free baker’s heaven to bring you the snicker doodle bites and fudge brownies in our new flavors. NadaMoo’s commitment to gluten free and vegan ingredients is enhanced by partnerships like these: all of our flavors are made with USDA Organic and Kosher ingredients and have been submitted to the Non-GMO Project for verification. We go all the way with using Fair Trade USA certified cacao and agave nectar, so several of our flavors are also Fair Trade certified. At the end of the day, we’re making ice cream, but using high quality, clean ingredients that TASTE good!

By now you’ve probably become inundated with all the excitement that comes with being in an election year. Because we try not to take ourselves too seriously, and because making dairy-free treat seems like a campaign in and of itself, we made hats that read, “Make Ice Cream Great Again!” Yup, you heard that right – we’re having a little election-year fun by starting our own line of hats and tees to express our #PintSizedRevolution. The only candidate we’re endorsing is our own President and CEO, who leads the helm by sporting his hat on his morning run.

Head on over to the shop on our website for our line of tees and hats. And now, not just for frosty beverages, are our own line of pint coozies to keep your paw from freezing while you Netflix and chill. Wanna spoon, anyone? Follow along Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Instagram for field notes, yummy recipes, new store announcements, and special store sales. And from the bottom of our tiny, frozen hearts (just kidding), thank you for supporting our family-owned treat.

NadaMoo! visits Seattle for VegFest

By | Uncategorized

We were very excited to attend our very first VegFest in Seattle and meet our new fans! Seattle VegFest is known as the largest vegetarian food event in the United States, so the opportunity to explore our sister city had piqued our interest from the start! Our team of happy campers made it a long weekend and brought 36 gallons of ice cream, some give away swag, and as we were told, the Texas sun! We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather and immediately fell in love with the city. We spent as much time as possible outside and explored with pints in hand, capturing Insta-worthy moments and loving all of the flowers in bloom. We come from cactus territory, so the color was a real treat!

Seattle has a lot to offer its visitors: the modern architecture, city parks, and bustling vegan and vegetarian food scene kept us entertained. Had we more time, we’d have checked out the Experience Music Project or ridden the Space Needle and… eaten in more vegan restaurants. We’d never seen so much variety!

Saturday kicked off the VegFest, so we started our day with a big breakfast and headed to the event for some scooping! We were all very excited and grateful to receive compliments from the locals. They loved our taste, texture, amount of sweetness, and said, “NadaMoo tastes just like regular ice cream!” Being the new kids on the block, we took time to speak to the brand and share our story. One of our most memorable moments was visiting with a lactose-intolerant man, who hadn’t had ice cream for 25 years and was able to enjoy ice cream again! By the end of the first day, we’d time traveled through the majority of our product! By midday Sunday, we’d scooped through 36 gallons of ice cream and made lots of new friends. The event was a huge success and was very well run, so kudos to Stewart and his team of volunteers. We would definitely do it again!

NadaMoo Seattle 2

We’d like to extend a warm “thank you” to our fans and your commitment to a clean, vibrant city that
supports small businesses like ours. Seattle has a vibrant plant-based community, and we met lots of wonderful people on our trip to VegFest!

Take a peek at #nadamoo to follow Insta-fame and drop us a note to share where you’d like to find NadaMoo in Washington. We want to make sure our treat make its way into the hands of those who have shown us support!

Pre-SXSweat Community Workout in Austin

By | Uncategorized

Yesterday, Nadamoo teamed up with Camp Gladiator, TriggerPoint Therapy, and Chameleon Cold-Brew to host a Pre-SXSweat Community workout at the heart of Austin! We wanted to give Austinites a fun way to workout for free and have a very deserving, delicious post-workout treat. From burpees to foam rolling to slinging scoops of ice cream, we all enjoyed this event so much. It was so wonderful to see the local community and brands team up for such a great cause. We were happy to see some old and new faces trying our healthy ice cream. Attendees were able to pick a scoop of either Vanilla…ahhh!, Vanilla Cha-Cha-Chai, or Gotta Do Chocalate, or mix it with some Chameleon Cold-Brew coffee and make what we liked to call a Dirty Chai (Vanilla Chai + Coffee), Tuxedo (Vanilla + Coffee), or Midnight (Chocolate +Coffee) drink. Huge thanks to Jordan Jones from Camp Gladiator for planning this awesome event. We are looking forward to the next one! Stay tuned for more exciting events in March!

October is Non-GMO Month

By | Uncategorized

October is Non-GMO Month and we want to teach you all about it! I’m sure you’ve seen non-GMO labels on the shelves over the past few years, but how many of you know what GMOs are? Are GMO’s safe to eat? What are the benefits of choosing Non-GMO products?

GMO stands for genetically modified organisms. Essentially this means any living organisms whose genetic material has been altered by means of genetic engineering. Corporations that use genetically modified foods rely on pesticides to “protect” our food and increase control over the growing system. There may be claims saying that GMOs are safe to eat, however they can be detrimental to our health, farmers, and the environment. Our body is designed to process natural foods, so GMO toxins, pesticide residues, herbicides, heavy metals that we consume in our daily food will stack up in our body and cause long term health problems. According to Food & Water Watch, GMOs also carry risks to farmers and people living near the fields that are sprayed heavily with the herbicide, which the World Health Organization recently said is a probable human carcinogen. GMO’s can lead to serious long-term health risks, as well as the many harmful side effects aimed at our environment.

Nearly 50 developed nations around the world have strictly banned production and sale of GMOs including Japan, Australia, and all of the countries in the European Union. However, the US has not yet banned GMOs, and does not have mandatory GMO labeling. Seventy-two percent of US GMO crops are engineered to tolerate a certain type of herbicide. According to Winter Ridge Foods, close to 75% of our conventional packaged foods now contain GMOs. Thus, the NON-GMO Project was founded with the belief that people should have the right to know what’s in their food. Their mission is to protect customer choice and advocate for NON-GMO products.

Whether or not there is a consensus on GMO safety, as of yet, we as a brand believe in the consumption of natural and whole foods. Our entire product line is free of soy, gluten, dairy, GMO’s, and animal products or bi-products. We value health for the masses above all. We are massive proponents of a transparent and contaminant free food chain. We highly encourage you to look for the non-GMO project labels the next time you go grocery shopping. Be a part of the movement for our right to know what is in our food.

Grab Life by the Coconuts this Summer

By | Uncategorized

Tick-tock goes the summer clock. It’s here. Summer. Roughly 75 days full of endless possibilities.

Although most of us are working or shuffling kids to camps and activities, remember that summer, in all its glory, only comes around once a year. So live adventurously, or as we like to say- Grab Life by the Coconuts.

Make a summer bucket list: go camping, take a road trip, spend a week(end) at the beach, go tubing on the river, cool down with a margarita, visit an outdoor pool or swimming hole, play board games on a rainy day, go paddle boarding/kayaking, visit a water/amusement park, go surfing, try a new restaurant, make new friends, or better yet try a new flavor of NadaMoo!

Enjoy a scoop of Mmm…Maple Pecan after an impromptu Saturday hike with friends or taste the refreshing Sweet Cherry Lime while playing horseshoes by the water. For those of you who want to escape the heat, indulge in Cookies & Creme over a fierce game of poker.

Whatever grabs you this summer, do it with all you got. Summer is about fun and adventure… plain and simple. For some of us, it’s about re-living carefree childhood memories and for those of us that need reminding…it’s just about living! NadaMoo is here to remind you, so live summer like it’s meant to be. Remember…Grab Life by the Coconuts!

NadaMoo Coffee Creamer Cubes

By | Uncategorized

think outside the bowl

Waking up to the horror that is running out of your usual coffee fixins’ is a tragic occurrence that, quite frankly, can ruin the rest of your day.

While that might be a bit on the dramatic side, coffee lovers can understand the aggravation and disappointment of a lacking morning brew.  As we continue our #ThinkOutsideTheBowl challenge, we’ve created a simple addition to your morning coffee with our NadaMoo coffee creamer cubes.

To make your own coffee creamer cubes, throw a cup of your favorite NadaMoo flavor and a cup of unsweetened coconut milk in the blender. Pour the blend into ice cube trays (silicone works best) and freeze overnight. The next morning pop a cube or two into you coffee and you’re good to go.

The frozen cubes will instantly cool down your scorching brew and save you from those burnt tongues that last all day long. We recommend using Java Crunch, Vanilla Cha-Cha-Chai, Vanilla…Ahhh, Creamy Coconut or Gotta Do Chocolate NadaMoo, depending on your preferred coffee flavor. These cubes not only save you invaluable time in the morning, but also cut out dairy and the questionable ingredients found in artificial sweeteners and traditional coffee creamer.

So are you a Mocha Swirl & Java Crunch kind of girl? Maybe a Breakfast Blend & Vanilla Cha-Cha-Chai kind of guy? Get creative and share your creations using #ThinkOutsideTheBowl. Trust us, your mornings will never be the same.
